Purpose

Use the updateExternalData tool to update the external data stored in a snapshot database from the data stored in the external/data subdirectory of the snapshot directory without rebuilding the entire snapshot database. This is particularly useful when you are experimenting with importing external data into a snapshot database or importing snapshot metadata.

Usage

This tool is run from the command line as follows:

Optional, defines the location of the project configuration file to use with the --earliest or --latest flag.

Default: current directory.

--concurrent--Optional, used in special cases where you need to allow more than one command to act on a single snapshot concurrently. This flag should not be used unless the support team have advised you to do so.
--earliest-

Optional, use to update the oldest snapshot for the project configuration defined using the --project flag. Alternatively, define a snapshot to update.

--latest--Optional, use to update the most recent snapshot for the project configuration defined using the --project flag. Alternatively, define a snapshot to update.
--ram<memory>4096

Optional, use to define the <ram> element for the update command.

Results
