Analysis in all applications
The following changes in version 1.19 affect COBOL analysis in all applications.
## Support for alert suppression Alert suppression annotations are now supported for COBOL. This includes comments of the form `lgtm`, to suppress all alerts, as well as comments of the form `lgtm[query-id]` to suppress alerts for a specific query. ## Changes to code extraction When the COBOL extractor fails to parse a file it shows up with zero lines of code. Unless you know there was a problem parsing that file, this can be quite confusing. The extractor now collects parse errors and a new query, Parse errors (`cbl/parse-error`), reports alerts for any files that cannot be processed. The results for this query are shown on LGTM by default.
Additional changes for analysis in QL tools and applications only
There are no additional changes that affect COBOL analysis only in QL for Eclipse, and the QL command-line tools.
