Allowing users to add projects

An option in the settings for each repository host integration allows standard users to add projects for analysis. They can do this from their My projects project list by entering the URL for the project repository and clicking Follow:

The Follow button is only displayed if the option to allow standard users to add projects is enabled for at least one integration. If you have multiple integrations, they may not all have this option enabled. If users try to add a project from a repository host that doesn't have this option enabled, a message is displayed:

Unfortunately you are not authorized to add projects from <integration-display-name>. Please contact an LGTM administrator.

This integration setting only affects the My projects project list in the main interface. The ability for LGTM Enterprise administrators to add projects in the administration interface is unaffected.

Allowing users to add projects in the main interface

To allow standard users to add projects hosted by a particular repository host:

  1. On the Integrations page of LGTM's administration interface, click the name of the integration for the repository host you want to configure.

  2. Select Allow adding projects through the frontend.

  3. Click Update.
